Michelangelo, architect in Rome An extraordinary selection of sketches of roman architectural projects by the great artist   The exhibit presents for the first time Michelangelo's Rome architectural sketches ans projects, from the early years with his passion for classical art, to the extraordinary creations of the later age. Seventeen sections and 105 drawings show Michelangelo's profile as an architect in Rome in his main Roman periods, the first one from 1505 to 1516 and the second one, from 1534 to his death in 1564.    This one-of-a-kind event is brought to the Roman public by the Casa Buonarroti Foundation, directed by Mauro Mussolin, architecture historian, and Pina Ragionieri, director of Casa Buonarroti, hosted by the Musei Capitolini di Roma from October 6, 2009 to February 21, 2010. tags: michelangelo, events in rome, exhibition in rome
