As part of
the ambitious five-year project "Days of Rome”, until Sunday,
5 September 2010 at the Capitoline Museums there will be on display
masterpieces all dating from the period after the campaigns of
conquest in Greece. The exhibition, titled "The age of
conquest," is the first cycle of "The Days of Rome"
and shows the artistic and cultural change that has struck the
capital after the Greek campaigns, from that time onwards its
classical taste is overwhelmingly made extensive in Rome, so that the
influence of Hellenic culture involved all the cultural Roman world.
The artifacts on display come from the best museums in Europe and
will be in the Capitoline Museums until September 5th.
