Chiostro Bramante: mostra “Boldini e
gli italiani a Parigi” from 14/11/2009 to 6/4/2010 From November 14th, 2009
until April 6th 2010 in the Chiostro del Bramante there is
the exhibition dedicated to the famous painter Giovanni Boldini and
the Italian Artists who lived in Paris during the second half of the
XIX century. During '800, France was the leader to the contemporary
art, that's why many Italian painters tended to compare themselves to
the French ones. You may think to the well-known Italian movement
called “Macchiaioli” which took influences from Coubert's
realism, Corot's paintings and Barbizon's countrysides. This French
style runs between three famous Italian artists living in Paris:
Giovanni Boldini, Giuseppe De Nittis and Federico Zanzomeneghi, but
we'll see artworks from Vittorio Corcos, Antonio Mancini, Paul
Helleu, Leon Bonnat, Telemaco Signorini, Serafino de Tivoli, all
divided into different sectors. The itinerary is also composed from
private collections artworks, which are difficult to see from the
public and which will be exposed together with artworks coming from
Galleria degli Uffizi, or from Italian Institutions like Galleria
d'Arte Moderna di Palazzo Pitti and Musée d'Orsay.
